High Cloud Storage Demand Allows AWS to Lower Amazon S3 Prices

February 7, 2012 — Cloud provider Amazon Web Services has lowered the prices on its storage solution Amazon S3, according to a blog post on Monday. At the end of 2011, Amazon S3 hosted 762 billion objects, and processed more than 500,000 requests per second, and the decrease in storage prices reflects the high demand for cloud storage.
