(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The Washington State Senate bill that proposed a deadline extension for sales tax breaks on data center construction is now officially dead, despite Senate members voting unanimously in favor of the bill, according to a report by Data Center Knowledge.

Last month, the Senate voted 41-1 in favor of the bill, which meant that it was supposed to advance to the House for approval.

Pat Boss, a director for the Port of Quincy’s government affairs told the Columbia Basin Herald that “House leadership apparently decided they didn’t want it to come up for a vote.”
